High Potential Development Program: A Case Study
The second cohort of the NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc. PAMA Executive Advancement in Regional Leadership (PEARL) Program was set to commence in May 2020. The inaugural cohort the year prior was very successful, filled with participants coming together from the US, Mexico, Brazil, and Australia attending four in-person multi-day learning events as well as individual coaching, rich self-assessments, and a capstone project.
COVID restrictions forced executive leadership to make a difficult decision. Would they postpone the program or retool it to be delivered in a fully virtual format?
Encouraged by Dion Leadership and our success with creating innovative learning programs, the organization took the risk and put their best and brightest through the same content conducted in a new format.
The program concluded in May 2021. While the learning is still fresh, we have asked the VP of Culture, Communication and People and the Talent and Development Manager from NGK, along with our program facilitator to lead this session and share the best practices and lessons learned as they developed and directly led the program.
In this rich case study, not only will we share data from a pre and post learning study and participant engagement feedback, but we will walk you through the program details and offer best practices and lessons learned in conducting a virtual learning and hybrid learning high potential program.
Learn how this global manufacturer of spark plugs decided to use blended virtual learning to continue a development program for their high potentials and maintain momentum during the organization’s work-from-home period.
Please join as as we host NGK’s Vice President, Culture, Communication and People, Lesley Skinner and the program facilitator, Stan Greene to explain the program, offer insights, and answer your questions.
